ACI and CEPS/ECRI

The Centre for European Policy Studies (CEPS) & the European Credit Research Institution (ECRI)

ACI joined the CEPS/ECRI board in October 2016 in order to sit at the heart of the payments debate in Europe. CEPS/ECRI attract considerable attention from the banking community for their primary research, debates and conferences on all aspects of the finance and payments policy. Both organizations carry out research and consultancy work for the European institutions and have been heavily involved in the debate on PSD2, Digitalization, Capital Requirement for banks (CRD5) and Dynamic Currency Conversion (DCC).

What is CEPS/ECRI?

The Centre for European Policy Studies (CEPS) is a leading independent think tank and forum for debate on EU affairs, with an in-house research capacity and an extensive network of partner institutions throughout the world. CEPS’ funding comes from a variety of sources, including corporate and institutional membership fees, project research, foundation grants, conference fees and sales of publications. The European Credit Research Institute (ECRI) is an independent, non‐profit research institute that develops its expertise from an interdisciplinary team and networks of academic cooperation partners. It was founded in 1999 by a consortium of European banking and financial institutions. ECRI’s operations and staff are managed by CEPS.
